Barbara Petridis Obituary

Barbara E. Petridis, 70

Uxbridge - Barbara E. (Popham) Petridis, 70, of Uxbridge, formerly of Sutton and Cape Cod, died Friday in home.

Her husband Harry Petridis died in 2003 and her son Darryl Gosselin died in 1985

She is survived by her sons; Craig Gosselin, and his wife Tonia, and Shawn Gosselin, both of Sutton, 3 grandchildren; Haley, Joe and Jesse Gosselin, 3 brothers; Richard Popham of Maryland, Wes Popham of California, and John Popham of Millbury, and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was born in Worcester; she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Orcutt) Popham. She was educated in Sutton, and after hairdressing school opened, owned and operated Barbara's Beauty Salon on Grafton Street in Worcester. She operated the shop for 25 years before retiring to Cape Cod, where she worked part-time at Cape Cod Hospital for many years.

Barbara was a skilled cook. She loved to cook for family and friends. Her Spaghetti and meatballs, and clam chowder were her signature dishes.

She was a member of the Valley Chapel Church of the Nazarene.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday October 8th from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street in Auburn. Her funeral will be held at 10 AM on Thursday October 9th in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hillside.
