Claire DeGregorio Obituary

Claire M. (Richards) DeGregorio, 83, wife of the late John A. DeGregorio, died Tuesday morning at the Essex Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beverly. Daughter of the late Frederick J. and Helen C. (Maloney) Richards, she was raised in Westborough and was a graduate of Westborough High School in the class of 1942. She had lived in Westborough all of her life, until moving to Beverly in 1997.

Claire was employed with Westborough State Hospital for many years. She was working as a mail room clerk at the time of her retirement. Claire's favorite past time was shopping. She was involved with her church and her family was very important and close to her.

Surviving her are many nieces and nephews, but most especially James F. Richards, his wife Nancy and their daughter Mary Rose all of Beverly; John F. Richards of Chester, NH; Jeralyn A. Levasseur and her husband Robert of Bradford; and Jacqueline A. Richards of Danvers. She was also the sister of the late James F. and Gerald F. Richards and Kathryn Humphrey.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, Beverly on Friday at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 9 Dane St., Beverly (Downtown Location). Burial in St. Luke's Cemetery Westborough.
