Claudia Jones Hendrix, 62

Rochdale, MA - Mrs. Claudia Jones Hendrix passed away July 30, 2017, surrounded by her loving family, in Grapevine, TX. She was a loving wife and mother as well as a committed Christian believer. She is survived by her husband George Hendrix of Flower Mound, TX; sons Michael and Andrew Hendrix of New York, NY, and Reading, UK, respectively; and sister Cindy Mayo and brother-in-law Joe Mayo of Rochdale, MA. Her late parents were Margaret and Claude Jones of Rochdale, MA. She was born in Worcester and grew up in Rochdale, MA graduating from Leicester High and received her nursing degree from New England Baptist Hospital Nursing School. She began her nursing career in Boston and continued in caring and teaching in Los Angeles, CA, and Dallas, TX. Claudia and her husband George met in Dallas, TX and were married for 34 years. Claudia was a woman of many talents, from her love of music and public speaking to her passion for education and event planning. Over the course of her life, she inspired thousands of students around the country to fulfill their God-given potential. When she was not teaching, creating, or caring for her family, she was traveling - from Europe to the Caribbean and beyond, she was always ready to explore the world. Her memorial service will be held at Greenville Baptist Church Life Center, 674 Pleasant Street, Rochdale, MA, on Sunday, October 22, at 2:00 pm.
