David Lekstrom Obituary
LEICESTER - David C. Lekstrom, 58, of the Rochdale section of Leicester, passed away Wednesday, July 5 in St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by his family after being suddenly stricken ill.
He leaves his wife of 35 years, Brenda M. (Burtt) Lekstrom, two sons; Ryan R. Lekstrom of Rochdale and Erik D. Lekstrom and his wife Allison of Framingham, a brother Robert Lekstrom and his wife Sandra of North Grosvenordale, CT, a sister Sandra LeFrancois and her husband Robert of North Carolina and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Gerald W. Lekstrom.
David was born in Worcester, son of Robert and Kathleen (Turner) Lekstrom. He graduated from Leicester High School. He was an Inventory Manager at DGI Technologies in N. Billerica. He was a dedicated member of Greenville Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping, being outdoors and spending time with his beloved family and friends. He greatly enjoyed coaching both of his sons' soccer teams for many years. He was an avid Boston sports fan. He was most happy when spending time with his family and friends. David will be forever remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, big smile, and loving and welcoming hugs.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 11 at 10:00 AM in the Greenville Baptist Church, 684 Pleasant Street, Rochdale. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, July 10 from 4:00-7:00 PM in MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Greenville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 396, Rochdale, MA 01542.

Brenda, I'm shocked and heartbroken to read about Dave I know it's been a long time. Dave was a big part of my life in the young days. He'd give you the shirt off his back,always fun to be with some of those wacky nights in the 70's I'm happy you two had a great life together. R.I.P. my friend we will see you again someday. Brenda,Ryan and Eric, I cannot express how upset and sad I am with hearing of Dave's passing. He was a wonderfully caring person. He was like a second father to my son, Brett, who has been Eric's best friend since kindergarten! How time flies, seems like just yesterday our kids were growing up together, card parties at your house and MANY happy times! I will never forget the joking, huge hugs and kisses,laughing and fun! Remember those good times, Bren, and though things and our lives have changed one thing will ALWAYS remain the same, our love and compassion for a wonderful and sincerely caring individual, DAVE! The world has lost such a special man. His genuine, straightforward and fun loving personality and strong honest values, his love of family and friends, will not be forgotten. David was the best hugger and he had the best laugh! I will never forget all the joy he brought to everyone he met! He was honestly one of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. His family are some of the best people I have ever known. My heart is broken for them and all of his family some of the my most dear family my self. I am heartbroken at Dave's passing. I spoke to him days before and so looked forward to his hugs, smile and the sparkle of light he had in his eyes for life! What a wonderful, giving and loving man, I consider myself so lucky to have known.
