To the family of Rev. Libby,
I only met him when my husband and I moved to NB to care for his parents, Harold and Bettina LaBombard. He was so dear a man and a friend to all. My mother-in law always wanted him to speak at her Memorial even though she was a catholic because she thought so highly of him.
She passed away this past Feb 13th. Both in-laws are now gone as is my husband Bruce, all are and will be greatly missed.
So very sorry for your great loss.

Sincerely

JoAnn Girouard

To Pastor Dave's Family, I would like to send my sympathy to everyone. I walked into Pastor Dave's Church 15 years ago. I just found his voice so soft spoken, that it actually gave me a peaceful and relaxing feeling while I listened to him give his sermon. When he came up to shake my hand and smiled, you just could sense his kind soul. I am grateful to have met him.

Mrs. Libby and Family,
Back in the late sixties I was introduced to Freedom Farm and the Weatherbees by a dear friend Betty Johnston. From there I started attending the Trinity Church on Sundays and was blessed to meet Pastor David Libby. He was a light in the darkness to me for what I was searching for in a church. It was important to me to have David participate in my wedding and even though his part was somewhat minor as it was a Catholic wedding he was so understanding of my needs that he was there for me. When my son was born there was no doubt that David would be the pastor to baptize Michael. Though David and I both moved on to other churches, he to N. Brookfield and I back to the German Church in Clinton I will always have fond memories of David, Trinity Church, and of course The Freedom Farm.

Dave was a wonderful person. I first met him about 40 years ago at the North Brookfield tennis courts. We had great times playing tennis in North Brookfield and Princeton. I so much appreciated Dave visiting my Dad at Knollwood in Worcester when my Dad was in hospice! Dave was also great marrying my two children! Dave is certainly in heaven. Great guy! Will miss you but Never forget you!

Dave Libby was a very inspiring pastor for me and my family in the late 1970s. He then was Pastor of Trinity Church Congregational, Bolton, MA. Our family was young with three pre-teen sons. Dave modeled the Christian in a most meaningful and personal way. Over the years, our paths have crossed several times and he has always been a special Christian friend. Our prayers are with his family of this blessed man.

The same year Pastor Libby and family came to church, I was very sick. Pastor was by my side even before my surgery - to pray. He visited often during my 2 month hospital stay and was such a comfort to me.
One night something awoke my dad. He looked out the window and saw a yellow, red light far off. We heard my dad say I think there is a fire at the Libby's ! Actually he yelled it. We all piled in the car and headed to the Libby house. Sure enough, that was the bad fire that destroyed their first home.
There are so many memories. I will never forget all of the weddings we did together. And the Christmas show that involved him many yrs ago. He is already missed so VERY much. ❤

I remember when the Libbys first came to town. I have fond memories of VBS with Pastor Dave as our leader. Pastor Libby lived his faith in the way it should be - always happy to engage in conversation with anyone, completely nonjudgmental, making everyone feel like a friend within moments. He will be deeply missed by all.

At one of the lowest points in my life, Rev, Libby was instrumental in filling my soul with just enough spirit to keep going and find recovery. He was a wonderful gentleman and servant. Peace.
