Some of my fondest memories are of days spent at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Asselin with my best friend Terry. South Oxford Road was almost another country to me back then, and now, living in West Millbury, I cannot drive by the Asselin home without bringing those memories back to life. Both of your parents will be remembered with fondness and great affection. You were fortunate to have had them with you for so long.

We are saddened by Aunt Dora's passing, but I feel extremely fortunate to have spent long periods of time throughout the years (as a youngster) as she and Uncle Armand visited our family in Florida. I, as her niece, have wonderful memories of her gentle nature and loving relationship with Lil, my mother. I feel that she was my mother's anchor due to the special bond held between sisters.
We hope that as the days and weeks pass, your grief becomes less and the sunshine from her smile fills your memories.
Love,

To the Asselin Family,
With the deepest and sincerest sympathy and thoughts. This is a day that the prayers have been listened to and were acted on by the God that we all know has been holding her hand. He now lets Aunt Dora & Uncle Armand once again be together to oversee the family from above. May God
bless all of you and keep you.

Dave and I were so sorry to hear that our beloved Aunt Dora passed away. Even though it was expected, it was still too soon and it saddens us deeply to know that she is no longer with us. I'm so glad that her family was able to be by her side at the hour of her death. We pray that she is now in heaven in the presence of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, and that she is reunited with Uncle Armand and our Mom and Dad, along with all of her pre-deceased family members.
Aunt Dora was one of my favorites and I felt very close to her for many reasons. She was so close to my Mom, her sister; they had a special bond, of which all of our family members were fortunate to be included.
I always enjoyed staying at her house when we went up north in the summers and for the Gemme Family Reunions. She always made us feel at home, like family. I can still smell her fabulous cooking, her blueberry and raspberry muffins, her corn on the cob, her fricasse, and I have fond memories of her pride & joy: her vegetable garden, her home-made wine and canned goodies & jams and snacks, her animals (cats, chickens, horses), all of us sitting around in the kitchen on the rocking chairs or outside on the lawn talking or playing cards, and her hearty laugh. She played a mean hand of Pitch, too. Aunt Dora loved to play cards and she loved to fish! She especially loved to fish in Florida, and we loved it when she and Uncle Armand came down to visit and spend the winter! We couldn't get enough of them!
But one of my favorite all-time memories of Aunt Dora was when we were staying at her house for the big wedding of Aunt Alice to Uncle Joe. One day, Aunt Dora packed a picnic, and she and Aunt Anita, my Mom, my sister Lucy and I all traipsed through the woods together at the back end of her property and found a little stream and we had a picnic lunch back there all by ourselves! It was a very special time, and I felt like she was sharing her secret beautiful getaway spot with us!
Even though we were miles apart and we hadn't seen Aunt Dora in a few years, we will still miss her deeply. Aunt Dora holds a very special place in my heart, right next to Mom! We loved her so much! Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with all of her family. May God Bless you and comfort you all.
Love,
Lilly & Dave

Dear Terri and Arthur,
Avy just read about your Mom's passing in the Worcester Telegram and we hasten to offer you our sincere, prayerful sympathy. All of you were very faithful to your Mom during her illness. Now she receives the reward of the good servant from Jesus, her Lord. May the memory of all the lives she touched, her rich progeny, and your happy memories soothe and comfort you and your family in your sadness and grief. Know we are with you in spirit and in prayer.
Blessings, joy and peace. Avy & Marie
