Doreen Adams Obituary
LEICESTER - Doreen A. (Picard) Adams, 68, of the Cherry Valley section of Leicester, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 19th, at Umass Memorial Hospital.
She leaves her husband of 47 years Grover C. Adams, III, two daughters; April E. Maki and her husband Brian of Worcester, and Amy R. Adams of Leicester, 3 grandsons; Brian Maki Jr., Vincent Maki, and Kevin Soucie, III.
Doreen was born in Worcester, the daughter of Ralph and Edith (Fenton) Picard and graduated from North High School, in Worcester. She worked in the mailroom at the Worcester Telegram & Gazette for over 30 years. She enjoyed Soap operas and spending time with her friends and family.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 10th at 11:00 AM in MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:30-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave, Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062. Masks are required for all who will be attending services.

My Dear Friend Doreen,
I hope that you will always remember the fun times we had as coworkers at the Worcester Tele. & Gaz. There were times when it was "crazy", but through it all, our friendship got us through. I can still hear the memory of me asking you, "How are you tonight Doreen; and you answered me, "Oh....Alright!!!" Then you laughed and I laughed harder!!! Those were great times!!!

I still find myself expecting a holiday card in the mail from you like you always remembered to send, but they don't come any more. I Miss You So Much My Dear Friend, but I know that you are looking down on me and the rest of your Family & Friend's and you are smiling and at peace!!! I´m so sorry for your loss. I lived at the apartments for 15 years before moving to Florida. I remember Doreen so well- sitting outside enjoying the day. She was always so kind. She is with God- of that I am sure.

Dear April, Butch, Amy & Family, My heart is broken and my tears are in my eyes!!! Your sweet & kind mother made my life happier. Her favorite phrase to me was, "Oh alright!!" She was a very dear friend to me and never forgot me when holidays came around. She would always send a card with scratch tickets and most of the time, I won!!! Anna, Doreen and I shared so many fun times at the Worc. Tele.& Gaz. and she will live on in my heart forever!!! I know that she is Heaven's newest angel!!! Rest In Peace, Doreen!!! I will miss you so much!!!

Butch, April, Amy and family - Wonderful memories, can still hear her "giggle" and shake her head when my Mom would say the craziest things. So glad I sent those pictures for her to enjoy. Prayers for all of you at this difficult time. I was always proud to say she was my "step-sister."
