E. Glenn Gates Obituary
Bridgewater - E. Glenn Gates, 85, of Bridgewater, MA passed away May 18, 2018 after a period of failing health. He was the loving husband of Beverly (Carlson) Gates.
Born in Worcester, MA he was the son of the late Edgar G. and Bernice (Stearns) Gates. He served 4 years in the US Navy and was a Korean war veteran.
He was a long time resident of Bridgewater and worked for many years as a Videographer for Yankee Candle Co. He was a member of the Free Masons and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, singing, dancing and storytelling, and piloting his small plane.
In addition to his wife Beverly he is survived by a son Gregory Gates; 3 stepdaughters, Debra Chipman, Laurie Dewhurst and Janice Flynn; many grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. He was also the father of the late Stephen Gates.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, June 23 from 12 Noon -3pm at Olde Scotland Links, 695 Pine Street, Bridgewater, MA.
