I will always remember Ed's good humor and teaching. I had him 3 consecutive years at Bancroft and he dubbed me a "3 time loser". I was lucky enough to reconnect with him in my work at WAM and continued to enjoy his humor and sarcastic side. I will miss him so!

Ed was a down-to-earth and good-natured person. He was also a serious and very talented photographer. As a fellow instructor at the Worcester Art Museum I grew to feel a comfort in knowing that students of Ed were getting the real deal. He shared a professional and genuine art of photography with them. Thanks, Ed.

Ed's smile, laugh, keen sense of photographic style and the delight he took in teaching made his classes at WAM absolutely fabulous. His words often ring in my head when I'm shooting and will continue to do so for years to come. I always looked forward to seeing Ed at WAM and the Craft Center and feel a great loss that these friendly meetings are over. My sympathy to Mrs. Esleeck, whom Ed spoke of often and loved dearly.

Ed was a special person- a constant source of humor and artful wisdom! Not only was he a wonderful teacher to my daughter, Erica at Bancroft, but he also became her friend in her adult life. I enjoyed his sharp wit and sometimes wry take on life - always leaving me with something to make me smile and think more about. I am proud to own one of his superb photgraphs, and to have had a show of art work with him. He was one of a kind, and I will miss him greatly!
