Eloise Gallagher

Eloise (Carroll)Gallagher, of Hingham, formerly of Auburn, age 95, died on March 23, 2009. Born in Durand, Wisconsin to Michael and Mary Carroll, she was the beloved wife of the late William Manning Gallagher. Mother of Patricia G. Bologna and her husband John R. of Hingham, William C. Gallagher of Wheeling, WV and Joan M. Gallagher and her husband Charles W. McKinny of Wichita, KS. She is also survived by five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of George Carroll of Altoona, WS and Charles Carroll of Sheboygan, WS. As a librarian, she worked at Holy Cross College, the Worcester Public Schools and Leicester High School. She was a charter member of the North American Martyrs Church, a member of the MA Retired Teachers Assn., the Friday Afternoon Club and the Our Lady of Providence Guild. She volunteered at the Auburn Senior Center for many years. A visiting hour will be held at the Britton Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Friday, March 27 to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn at 11 AM. Burial will be held in St. John's Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester.
