George Andrianopoulos Obituary

George Andrianopoulos, of Worcester, died Wednesday, November 5th peacefully in his sleep with his loving family by his side after a courageous one year battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Agatha (Vassis) Andrianopoulos; his son, Christos and his wife Sonia Andrianopoulos of Millbury; his daughter, Angeliki "Angela" wife of Angelo Tsetsos of Worcester; his five adoring grandchildren, George, Sophia, Julia, Nicholas and Stevie; a sister, Christina wife of Kosmas Parousis; a niece, Demetra Kennedy and two nephews, William and Chris Parousis of Worcester.

He was born in Pikerni, Tripolis, Greece, his mother was the late Angeliki (Karadounis) Andrianopoulos. Mr. Andrianopoulos had served in the Greek Army and came to Worcester in 1969 with his wife. George donated his time and talent by cooking for Lions Club events and the St. Spyridon Senior's; and was awarded the Foreign Born Citizen's Award. He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the Order of AHEPA.

Mr. Andrianopoulos enjoyed gardening, cooking, hunting, his work, time spent with his family, but most of all being Papou to his five grandchildren.
