George Mailloux Obituary
LAKE WALES, FL - George W. Mailloux, 72, of Lake Wales passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.
He was born on July 14, 1943 in Putnam, Connecticut to the late Sylvio M. and Lucy (Beaulieu) Mailloux. He has been a resident of Florida since 2009 moving here from Sturbridge, Mass. He was a retired maintenance mechanic at American Optical Company and Aearo Company for 45 years. George was a very quiet man, loved his family very much, enjoyed gardening and his corvette, he was a former member of Central Mass Wanderers Club, he liked car racing, built his own homes and was a dedicated hard worker. He attended the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Cecile Bourey, Sylvia Guasp, Hortense Burnham, Viola Wojcik; brother, Ronald Mailloux. Survivors include his wife of 52 years Florence R. Mailloux; daughter, Robin Harris and husband Clifford of Amherst, NH; 2 grandchildren, Jonathan Harris of Ft. Polk, LA, and Zachary Harris of Amherst, NH; sister, Pauline Ouellette and husband Gerard of Putnam, CT; brother, Richard Mailloux of Putnam, CT.
Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Fr. Glenn Charest officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales, Florida.
