Gracie Bulger Obituary
Auburn - Gracie Evelyn-Marie Bulger, passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2020. She was 10 years old.
Gracie was born in Worcester on July 15, 2009 a daughter to Athena Lee (Valerio) and Thomas Michael Bulger. She was a fifth-grade student at Swanson Road Intermediate School in Auburn and was looking forward to transitioning into the Auburn Middle School. Gracie had a love for music and enjoyed listening to genres ranging from Dean Martin all the way to Five Finger Death Punch. She particularly enjoyed the drums and enjoyed listening to her father play and also watching countless YouTube videos of drum solos. She enjoyed horse riding, dance parties, school and going on walks with her family. She leaves a void in their hearts that can never be filled.
She will be forever loved and missed by her parents, Thomas and Athena Bulger; her loving siblings, Quinn T. and Zoey A. Bulger; her Nana and Papa, Ken and Lisa Valerio of Auburn and her Grammy, Jean Bulger of Rutland; a village of aunts and uncles including, Kenny Valerio of Auburn, Cherilyn Bulger and Corinne Bulger, both of Sunderland; a cousin, Logan Crovello of Rutland; several extended family members and many friends.
She was predeceased by her grandfather, Terry Bulger who died in 2014.
Gracie's family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the CP Clinic Care Team for the exceptional care provided to her and also to the Auburn Public School System for giving Gracie every opportunity and loving and caring for her as if she was their own.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Monday, July 6th from 9:00am until 11:45am at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A funeral service will begin at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park. Gracie's family asks that memorial donations be considered to the Boston Children's Hospital Trust Attn: Gift Services 401 Park Drive, Suite 602 Boston, MA 02215.

No matter how long it has been, Gracie will never be forgotten. Her amazing smile just made us smile, that and the fact that she was cute as a button. Gracie was my buddy at Bryn Mawr for 3 years. Every day, we would sing together, we'd have a few moments to smile, laugh, and make some memories. It was an honor to be her teacher. She was an absolute bright spot in my life.

So sorry for your loss. Gracie and Adrian were in class together for several years and sat right next to each other. Adrian was saddened when he learned of the loss of his classmate. Adrian used to help her open her yogurts and snacks. Gracie taught Adrian a lot about helping and he enjoyed it. We are very sorry for your loss.

Jonathan, Benjamin and I are heartbroken for the Bulger family. We know how much Gracie was loved. There is no real comfort as you go through this pain, other than to know it exists because of the great love you had for your daughter/ niece/ granddaughter/ cousin/ sister. Athena, Tom, Quinn & Zoey,
I'm heartbroken for your loss of Gracie. For my four years of being with her, I enjoyed seeing that beautiful smile every day. We all loved her! I shared her joys and I shared her pain. She was so happy and vivacious. Gracie also had a special way of letting us know what she wanted and how she felt. Everyone including The Auburn Fire department embraced her attendance during "Community Helper Day". She was truly a delight to be with and very popular with her classmates at both Bryn Mawr and Swanson Elementary. This is a most difficult good-bye for all of us, but I'm certain that our little earth angel is now at peace and dancing and singing with the angels. And we will all honor her memory with love.

The reaction in my son's face when he was asked how well he knew Gracie said it all. She was a special girl and had an impact on those who knew her. My son was in her class several years and said she always was smiling and loved listening to stories in class. They loved having her be a part of it and looked forward to times they spent with her.
