Gregory Garry Obituary
CLINTON - Gregory T. Garry, 55, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Susan Baraklilis & Demetrios of Oxford, Erin Mercier & Thomas of Worcester, Gregory M. Garry & Michelle of Clinton. He leaves his siblings and their spouses, Virginia Gates & Philip, Raymond Garry & Maureen, Steven Garry, Thomas Garry, Barbara Center & Kevin, all of Clinton; Kathleen Mastrodomenico & David of S.C.; Patricia Botko & Gary of Winchendon; 7 grandchildren, Jonathan, Mikaela, Loukas, Charlie, Grace, Aubrey & Weston; former wife, Pamela (Lotze) Garry; mother-in-law, Inge Lotze, both of Clinton; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and many dear friends.
Greg was born in Fort Belvior, VA to the late Raymond & Patricia (King) Garry. Upon his father's military retirement, the family settled in Clinton, where he attended local schools and graduated from the Clinton High School Class of 1975. Greg enlisted to proudly serve our nation in the US Air Force. He returned home and began his career with MBA Burglar Alarm in Worcester, where he worked as a manager for many years until a medical retirement. Greg was a member of the former Our Lady of Jasna Gora Parish in Clinton and was an avid sports fan. He most cherished time spent in the company of his family and friends, most of whom he had proudly supplied nicknames for over the years.
Funeral services are to be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will follow in Reservoir Pines Cemetery, Clinton. Calling hours in the funeral home will be from 4 until 7PM Friday, June 7, 2013. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Gregory T. Garry to: Clinton High School-Scholarship & Enrichment Fund, 150 School St., Clinton, MA 01510. Online condolences may be placed at:
