Irving Pulsifer Obituary

Irving E. Pulsifer, Jr. 92

Union, CT - Irving E. Pulsifer, 92, of Howard Rd., passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Monday, February 1, 2021.

He leaves his beloved wife of 64 years, Dorothea A. (Allard) Pulsifer; his four children, Duane Pulsifer and his wife Lori, Donna-Lee Richard and her husband John, Anna-Lee Stefanik and her husband Mark and Eric Pulsifer and his wife Kim; his ten grandchildren, Jessica-Lee, Benjamin, Thomas, Ashlee, Samuel, Shanna, Thor, Alexander, Patrick, and Owen; his four great-grandchildren, Dottie, Thea, Wade, and Magnolia. Irving was pre-deceased by his sister Natalie G. Dennison.

He was born in Marlborough, MA, the son of Irving E. and Helen W. (Richardson) Pulsifer, Sr.

Irving graduated from the University of Vermont with an Engineering degree in Metallurgy. He began his career at CPC Corp. in Sturbridge as their Chief Engineer. Irving was the owner and President of Armour Porter Corp. and general manager of National Precision Machine Company. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a proud Mason and a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 169. In 1997 Irving worked tirelessly renovating his family summer camp on Mashapaug Lake in Union, making it a four-season home. Irving enjoyed collecting, repairing, and building antique furniture. He loved family cookouts and party boat rides on the lake. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and cross country skiing with friends. His bear hugs and "look you in the eye" firm handshakes will be missed.

A graveside service will be held later this spring at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge, MA.

There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Freemasons care of the Quinebaug Lodge A.F. & A.M., 339 Ashland Ave., Southbridge, MA 01550
