Audrey, Emily, and John, and entire family and friends,
Jim was our friend for over 40 years. A man of many talents: a bridge builder, a MA State diver and a woodworker. We still have the doors he built for us 35 years ago. He was always there to help out his friends.
Jim, of course, built two amazing homes in Woodstock, Ct. One for his family and the 2nd one for his in-laws which then followed to become a welcoming bed and breakfast. Many people claim they built their homes, but we witnessed the progress as it was developing from studs to stairs and then actually saw him up on the ladder laying down the wood shingled roof and doing his own finish work. This was an amazing accomplishment.
Jim was a good family man, husband, father and grandfather to both Max and Caroline. He enjoyed the simple pleasures; a good cigar in the old days and, of course, a few cold beers which he shared with us and other friends throughout the years.
You sometimes needed to watch your sport coat if he took a liking to it. We both apparently shared the same size
Jim, you passed all too soon not getting a chance to enjoy a well-deserved retirement, but you still managed to live a full life. We will remember your dry wit, your gentle nature and devilish smile. We will toast you with a Rolling Rock or two.
Rest in Peace old friend, we will miss you always.

I met Jim on a Bridge job in Attleboro and immediately be came friends,Just a great guy,a hard worker and very knowledgeable.I was an inspector on the job and learned a lot from Jim.My wife and I vacationed that summer at Rock Port and got to meet Jim's wife Audrey who was just as impressive as Jim,very down to earth. They had my wife and I for dinner and she was just as impressed as I.
We kept in touch by telephone.God Bless You Jim,You will truly be missed and God Bless you Audrey and your whole family.

Audrey, Doug, Eddie & the rest of the Caderette family - I am truly sorry for your loss of a brother & "soul mate".....it doesn't seem all that long ago that we all played baseball together, Little League, Babe Ruth league and before that, in the back yards on Linden St. I can still picture Jimmy in his Langer Hardware uniform :) Another school mate has passed and it's a very sad occasion to say the least. All my prayers are with the rest of the family members.
