Jeraldine LaVallee Obituary

On Sunday June 22, 2008, Jeraldine "Jerry" LaVallee, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a long illness. Her husband of 23 years, Ronald LaVallee, passed away May 10, 2008.

Jerry was born February 5, 1940 in Woonsocket, RI. She lived in Shrewsbury and Oxford, MA before moving to Florida in 1993.

She is survived by her sister, Helen (Jaworski) Gogel of Palatka, FL; her daughter, Debra (Parent) Denison of Bunnell, FL; her son, Steven Parent and his wife Karen of Mendon, MA; her step-daughter, Marsha Podsiadlo and her husband Don of Ormond Beach, FL and her step-son, Randy LaVallee and his wife Debi of Tampa, FL. She is also the loving grandmother of seven grandchildren: Sean, Sarah, Jacob, Lauren, Robbie, Kirsten and Allison.

Jerry worked for Weagle Bus Co. for several years as a school bus driver for Shrewsbury Public Schools and Grafton's Council of the Aging. She continued driving buses for Flagler County, FL for 10 years before retiring in Ormond Beach. She was an enthusiastic NASCAR racing fan, loved RVing and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed.

Service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Tr., Port Orange, FL 32129.

I think of the family in this time of sadness. I was one of the nurses who took care of Jerry. I had a chance to get to know her and the family. You are all such good people. You are in my heart and prayers in this time of sorrow. I wish you all well.
