Joan Rosen, 70 WARWICK, RI - Joan Rosen, 70, of Warwick, died Monday, June 11, 2012, in Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of David L. Rosen for 51 years. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Maurice and Tessie (Mankovitz), Gesualdi, she had lived in Worcester, MA for 45 years before moving to Warwick 8 years ago. Joan was a graduate of Hope High School, Class of '60. She was a salesperson in retail women's clothing and cosmetics for many years and won many top sales awards. Joan loved to work with pottery and play Mahjong. She was actively involved with the former Pioneer Women in Worcester. Devoted mother of Jeffrey Rosen and his wife Amy, Gregg Rosen and his wife Pamela, Robert Rosen and his wife Michaelle and Melissa Colon and her husband Luis. Loving grandmother of Jacob, Alex, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Melanie, Tessie, Robert, Luis and Jessica. Dear sister of David Gesualdi and his wife Iris. Cherished aunt of Marc & Abbe Gesualdi and Eric & Jen Gesualdi. Adored great aunt of Michael, Heather and Tyler Gesualdi. Funeral services will be held TODAY (Wednesday) at 1:00 p.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Temple Sinai, 30 Hagen Ave., Cranston, RI 02920. Shiva will be observed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gregg Rosen, 10 Miss Fry Drive, East Greenwich, Wednesday, 7-9 and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
