John J. (Jack) Cordaro, Jr., 80,

LEICESTER - John J. (Jack) Cordaro, Jr., 80, of Henshaw Street died, surrounded by family, Saturday, June 26, 2021 in UMass Memorial Hospital after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 59 years, Marjorie T. (Novara) Cordaro; two sons, John J. Cordaro and his wife Lee of Worcester and David F. Cordaro and his wife Kate of Portland, Maine; a brother Joseph Cordaro of Webster, a sister Angelina Fournier and her husband Paul of Webster; two grandsons, Matthew Cordaro and his wife Kaitlyn of Nashua, NH and Kyle Cordaro of Worcester and two great grandchildren, Camden & Kai Cordaro and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Catherine Cordaro and three sisters, Mary Ellen Fenton, Emily Cordaro and Catherine Crawford.

John was born in Brockton, son of John J. and Ellen (McManus) Cordaro. He was the cemetery superintendent at B'nai Brith Cemetery in Worcester for 45 years until retiring in 2006. He also worked part time as a funeral attendant at Perlman Funeral Home for many years before retiring in 2018. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and the Knights of Columbus in Worcester. He enjoyed golfing, especially with his grandsons, bowling, and watching old western movies. He was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics. He also loved to travel and especially going on cruises with his wife and visiting Portland, ME with Dave and Kate. John also loved to attend his grandson's hockey and lacrosse games for many years and more recently enjoyed spending time with his great grandsons.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 30 from MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Tuesday, June 29 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home.
