Dear Jackson, I know you are hearing different stories about your Dad. We would like to add just a few more from 1999 and on. Before your parents and I met, I remember seeing a man on the second floor balcony at the Fitness Factory watching our step class, I was a bit self conscious as I NEVER got the steps correct. After looking up again, I realized he was watching this beautiful woman with long blonde hair, your mother. I thought "how sweet is that, he is watching his girlfriend or wife". I loved how much he adored her. Jump a few years forward and you were born, he adored you just as much in a different way. He never wanted to disappoint you. Once when Syd and I were over having lunch at your house, sitting on the little plastic table and chairs they had in the living room, your Mom made you guys cheese quesadilla and potato nuggets, your father was on his way out for a bike ride but needed a little snack. He ate a few of your nuggets and when you looked up and saw him eating them, you said "Dad"!, he literally knew exactly what you meant just by saying his name. He felt so bad and said "oh, I am sorry Jackson". I almost chuckled because you weren´t mad, you were probably 5 yrs old (if that), but your Dad was so sincere and did not want to do anything to make you sad. That is how much he loved his family., more than anything. He will always be in my mind as a kind, loving man.
We Love you and will be sending all our Love

John and I grew up together in the same neighborhood. Later in life I lived with John and Heather for a short time. John was an adventurous, determined and most generous man. A connoisseur of meticulously prepared food paired with fine spirits and overall passionate entertainer was always a delight and left one with a full belly and a smile. Of course, we always worked off our feast early the following morning sweating it out on mountain bike! I feel fortunate to have shared many fond memories with John over a lifetime. I pray for strength, courage, well being and overall happiness of family. Bessings to Maureen, Jackson and Heather. God bless all! Love, Scott

Maureen,
I didn´t know John well, but came to know him when he visited Middlesex Hospital in CT while working for Cerner. Through a friend I learned of his illness. I also got to ski with him on a few occasions...once on a trip to Jackson Hole about 15 years ago. He was so full of energy and passion the last time I saw him. I´m so sorry to hear that he has passed.
Losing a husband and brother-in-law to the same disease and being their primary means of support is more of a burden than any human should have to bear. I hope you´re able to find peace in knowing that the love you gave them is its own reward...and that someday when you look back upon these difficult years and the tenderness you showed, you´ll experience transcendent grace.
