John Moynihan Obituary
Clinton - On Saturday, November 3, 2018, John "Jack" Moynihan, loving husband and father of three children passed away at the age of 86. Jack was born June 17, 1932 in Worcester and was a lifelong resident of Clinton. He was a teacher, football coach and principal in the Hudson school system for (36) years. A Korean War veteran, Jack was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps as a staff sergeant after being awarded the Korean War Service Medal with 3 Stars, The United Nations Service Medal and The Korean Presidential Unit Citation Medal. In addition, Jack was an active participant in several professional and fraternal organizations during his lifetime.
On June 28, 1958, he married Judith A. Tomolo. They raised two sons, Timothy Charles and Michael James along with daughter Mary Patricia. Jack was preceded in death by his mother Mary Gertrude, father John Thomas and aunt Helen Kilcoyne. He is survived by his wife Judy, his three children, Tim, Mike and Mary Pat, his brother Robert and seven grandchildren; Matthew, Brien, Corey, Cayley, Emily, Ciara and Patrick. Pursuant to Jack's wishes, a private funeral service for family will be followed by a Marine Corps Color Guard accompanied burial at St. John's Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Jack's name may be sent to: St. John the Evangelist Church, Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD), 149 Chestnut Street, Clinton, MA 01510. I am sorry to learn of the death of your loved one, Mr. John Moynihan. May you be comforted by the many happy memories of times you shared together and by the God of all comfort and in knowing others are thinking about you and your family at this sad time (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17).
