To ConnieJean and family; My wife Nancy & I are sorry to learn belatedly of Joe's passing. He and I would talk about his (and mine) old motorcycles and he'd pull out the photo he carried with him of his Indians. He was truly a great American. I remember the youth group airplane rides he'd do for us at Worcester Airport. Thay were more than just a look at the roof of your own house. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant.

To Joe's Family,
The Massachusetts Aviation Historical Society and its members extend our condolences. Joe & Marcia were MAHS members for the last ten years and we had Joe to our meetings to discuss his life and times in aviation a number of times. From line boy to flight instuctor at North Grafton airport to flying C-46s over the Hump in the CBI Theatre to an Air Force Reserve pilot at Hanscom Field to his very special work at the David Clark Company. Where he worked with pilot and astronaut crew protection design and testing over a period of 43 years. He was a friend to all who knew him, a good and decent man who we will miss. We will remember him, his quiet and friendly way, his contributions to aviation and his commitment and dedication to his wife and family.

Joe & Marcia were long time members of our church family and such a loving couple. How impressed we all were with Joe's love for Marcia and his faithfulness through her long stay in the nursing home. Each Sunday Joe would be sure that Marcia's name was added to our prayers. What a beautiful tribute to their long marriage and "partnership"! We saw how much he missed her. Now, we will miss him at Sunday morning services, especially his warm and welcoming smile. What a dear man. Blessings and prayers for his family at this sad time. Please know how many of us share your loss.
