Although we never had the honor of meeting him, by all accounts, Joseph was a remarkable man: son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, soldier, civil servant, community leader, etc. His legacy is, understandably, widespread. Undoubtedly, he will be missed by many folks. Our deepest sympathy to the family.

Condolences to the Trachimowicz family from the son of a fellow Worcester Police Officer: I remember Joe as a boy through his service to Worcester along with my father, Lieutenant Jim Daley. They were on the Vice Squad together and actually both moonlighted together during Christmas season as store detectives at R.H. Whites' store at Lincoln Plaza. Many of the officers, like Joe, my father, Jim Trainer, Bob McGill, Smiley Powers, and others, also used to work weekends at dispatchers for Associated Transport Trucking Company on Ballard St. Joe eventually joined the Retired Men's Club of Greendale, of which I am a past president and current trip leader. What a wonderful, considerate guy! He will be missed and remembered.
