Joyce Hanson Obituary
Worcester - Joyce A. (Kilgar) Morin Hanson, 80, of Worcester, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at home.
Her husband, Paul L.A. Hanson, died in July, 2014. Her first husband, Felix Morin, died in 1960. She leaves a son, Wayne Morin his fiancée Alexandra Albers of Worcester; three step-daughters, Caron, Ann and Janice; a step-son Paul and her nephew Chris Kilgar of Worcester. She was predeceased by a brother, Weldon Kilgar. She was born in Woodside, Nova Scotia, daughter of Francis and Vera (Alden) Kilgar and has lived in Worcester for many years.
Joyce worked at Holden Plastics and most recently as a clerk at the Big Y supermarket in Worcester, which she enjoyed very much. She enjoyed camping at the Indian Ranch Campground in Webster. She was an avid fan of the band Jack D'Johns and also loved the Red Sox and Patriots.
The funeral will be held Thursday, November 5 with an 11:00 am service at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, November 5 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Joyce was a wonderful person with a great heart. Every year she sent my family a Christmas card, she was the first to give out of kindness to someone in need, She have a gift when my daughter & son were born, she always made sure her name was on the card for employee transfers, and she always made sure the Wednesday night co-workers had iced coffees. She had a heart of gold and will be missed by all that she came in contact with. Rest in peace Joycey

To Joyce's family: I remember Joyce from years ago, she was a good friend of my mothers at Indian Ranch campgrounds. She and Paul always had a joke to play on mom. They were both a pleasure to be around and so funny. I know its sad that she is gone from this world but Id like to think that she is happy now with Paul and her friend Ethel. May she rest in peace and may God Bless the family at this sad time.

So very sorry to hear of this great loss. Joyce was one of the most dependable and reliable employees that I have ever had! She took great pride in all that she did. She was a work mom for many and looked out for others too. We will miss her greatly at Big Y as I know lots of others will also. RIP JOYCE.
