Katherine "Kate" O'Loughlin

Katherine "Kate" O'Loughlin, 90, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Saturday, June 28th, at Notre Dame Long Term Care, Worcester.

Kate was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Michael and Hannah (O'Shea) O'Loughlin. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Michael O'Loughlin, Jr., John and Thomas O'Loughlin, and her four sisters, Elizabeth O'Loughlin, Mary Hynes, Helen Cooney and Margaret McCarthy.

She is survived by her 17 nieces and nephews, and their extended families.

Kate was a graduate of Ascension High School. Her early years were spent as a hairdresser, and later years as a secretary at the Thom McCan Shoe Company, Worcester. She was a member of Saint Mary's Parish, Shrewsbury. Kate will be remembered for her quiet ways, her Irish humor and ready laughter. Her family would like to thank the staff of the Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, who loved and cared for Kate for so many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visiting hour on Tuesday, July 1st from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. Her funeral Mass will then be celebrated at 11 AM in Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, followed by burial in the family lot in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.
