Laura Pearson Obituary
Worcester - Laura E. Pearson passed away at home on Sunday, September 24, 2017 with her family at her side. She leaves her beloved children, Abdul-Babatunde Pearson and Benetta (Pearson) Kuffour of Worcester; R. Yaniyah Pearson of Newburgh , NY and Jewell Pearson of Inglewood, CA. She was loved by 37 grand, great and great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded by her husband, Marvin Pearson, son, George Pearson and daughter, Paulette Pearson.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, September 29 at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester from 4pm-7pm. Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 9:30 a.m. at Second Baptist Church, 14 Hammond Street, Worcester. Entombment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the MLK Scholarship Fund at John Street Baptist Church in memory of Laura E. Pearson, 41 John Street, Worcester, MA 01609.

RIP Mrs. Pearson a very wonderful and special person I will never forget her kindness to her entire family children, siblings, cousins and friend I will pray the G'd makes this difficult time as easy as possible for all of you. we live in the same build for five years those are fond memories.

I did not know her but if the saying fruit does not fall far from the tree, then the tree must have been great to produce a branch such as Carol and limbs such as Janae and Kenadi. She will be missed!!

I didn't personally get the chance to meet Mrs. Pearson but her light shined through my friend Ms. Jewell Pearson and family. Memories of her will stay in our hearts. She was a very good person, mother, wife, and relative to many. Mrs. Pearson was a kind hearted soul with lots of wisdom. As one of the youth in the neighborhood, I and others knew she was also quick to set all of us straight. We will miss the wonder of this amazing women, with the big smile, the mother of my friends, and the gift that she leaves behind, in knowing all of hers will follow the rules, and remain ever faithful to a creative, wonderful person that has crossed our paths. Rest now in the lord's arm, and know all will be ok.
