Lois Gundrum Obituary

A memorial service for Lois L. (Eaton) Gundrum, who passed away on December 27, 2010, will be held in the First Congregational Church, Boston Rd., Sutton, on Saturday, June 4th at 11 AM.

Lois was born in Worcester, MA on June 20, 1943 to Alta M. Eaton and the late John A. Eaton. She lived in Sutton before moving to Grafton, NY where she and her husband ran a successful logging and lumber business for many years.

A 1961 graduate of Sutton High School, Lois was a star on the varsity basketball and softball teams, after overcoming a childhood bout with polio. She attended Fitchburg State College and later entered the nursing program at Hahneman Hospital in Worcester.

In addition to her mother, Lois is survived by her husband, Rynard G. Gundrum; her daughter, Ingrid; her son, Rynard G. Gundrum, Jr. and his wife Susan; three grandchildren, Francesca, Olivia, and Tyler, all of Grafton, NY; her brother, Jeffrey Eaton and his wife Sissy of Weathersfield, VT; aunts Jeannette Winslow and Rita Johnson and many nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grafton Rescue Squad, Grafton, NY or the First Congregational Church, Boston Road, Sutton, MA.
