Aloha e to my cousins:

I've been thinking about your mom all week. The last time that I saw her was when she visited my mom in the hospital in 2000. I remember the first words she said to Mom, "pehea 'oe e Iwa?" I also remember visiting the Petersons in the summer of (1968?) and eating your mom's 'ono fruit pies. I am going to have lunch with my dad today and will print out the obituary for him. You know, he and Auntie Zelda are the only ones left from that generation. Aue! My love and prayers go out to my dear cousins.

With fondest aloha,

Kathy

Cousins & Ohana, with heartfelt condolences. I was saddened to hear about the passing of Aunty Luella. I have fond childhood memories of Aunty. She & Auntie Rowena would like to "gallivant" (do things together). They loved to eat, especially Hawaiian food, shop, talk story with relatives here & on Maui. I will cherish these memories as Aunty Luella often included me. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Aloha Pumehana, Jo-Jo

To all my Peterson cousins, I will always remember my Aunty Luella and the letters she would send me from Japan. She was always encouraging me to paint and draw, something I enjoy doing until today. She and I also had birthdays one day apart, so I would look forward to her sending me a birthday card. Phil and I send our deepest sympathy and fondest Aloha.
