A truly wonderful teacher, She was wonderful and loved teaching. She truly will be missed. She was also a good friend after I graduated from Notre Dame High School, Springfield, MA.

My late aunt, Marguerite Teresa McCarthy, was a great friend of Sister Marion. She lived across St. Rita's School on Hampshire St. in good old Lawrence. My aunt was briefly in the SND's in the late '40's but me, my brother, sisters and cousins were happy to have her as our beloved maiden aunt until she went home to the Lord in March of 2006. I remember Sister Marion from my days as a student at Saint Augustine School in Andover. Sister and my Aunt were good friends and kept in touch over the years. As I remember, Sister Marion had a great sense of humor and,as I recall, was a talented artist. How I wish I could re-connect with old family friends and acquaintances - so many are leaving this earth! But I have Mass of the Immaculate Conception with our religious education students tonight at 5:30 with my own intention. I will joyfully offer it for the repose of the soul of Sister Marion. God's eternal rest be hers!
