Mark Lowe Obituary
WORCESTER - Mark S. Lowe, 30, of Worcester, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. He was born in Cambridge and raised in Worcester.
Mark graduated from Doherty Memorial High School and later attended Salter School, studying culinary arts. He worked as a truck driver for Niman Paper Supply, Worcester for several years. He loved to play Frisbee golf, cooking, and he enjoyed bike riding around Worcester.
Mark is survived by his parents, Alan Lowe and Jane S. (Duffey) Lowe both of Worcester; his sister, Erin M. Lowe of Worcester; his paternal grandmother, Florence (Jonas) Lowe of Worcester; two nephews, a niece and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a service celebrating Mark's life on Wednesday, June 4, at 11 a.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice. To share a memory or offer an online condolence, please visit

Dear Jane,
What a shock to see that Mark died! That is not the way it's supposed to be! I really feel for you and Alan as it has to be every parent's nightmare to have to bury your child! (Your mom and mine both went through it and we saw that it was not easy!) I'm so sorry that you have to endure this too! I only knew Mark when he was a baby, but looks like he turned out to be a fine young man. Sorry I couldn't get there last week...I was on a bus trip to Lancaster. To Alan, Jayne, Erin and the family, we are incredibly sorry to hear of your loss.
Please know that we are all thinking of you during this difficult time, and hope you are able to find strength in the fond memories of Mark that you share.
We had the pleasure of getting to know Mark when he visited New Zealand with Alan, Jayne and Erin around 1995/6.
He was a bright, enthusiastic young man who particularly liked wearing camo attire.
We had some great times at Lea and John's bach in Leigh, and had a very memorable trip to Rotorua.
It was a special time for me, spending time with my cousins from half way around the world, memories which I will always cherish.
Rest in peace now Mark, you will live on in everybody's hearts forever.

I am very sorry for your loss of Mark. He was a pleasure to know as a student at Salter. I was his meats/seafood instructor. Chef Lyons and I thought he brought a lot to each class he was in. He was a natural talent.
