Mark Morin Obituary

Mark H. Morin, 60

Falmouth - "Wait till you hear this"….Mark H. Morin, 60, of Falmouth and formerly of Worcester, passed away at Falmouth Hospital on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Linda A. (Gevry) Morin for 26 years.

Mark was born and raised in Worcester and served proudly in the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam conflict. He loved his work as owner and operator of the Main Street Barber Shop in Falmouth for many years.

Mark loved life and embraced it fully enjoying many hobbies including but not limited to traveling, studying language, gardening, boating, birdwatching, coaching baseball, motorcycle riding, bicycling, rock climbing, golfing and playing guitar. He loved storytelling and was known for his "bad" jokes. Above all, he loved learning and the world. Mark loved people. His gift to the world was turning the light inside himself on the rest of the world around him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his loving wife and best friend, Linda, he leaves his six children: Keith, Kevin, Rachael, Ross, Craig and Cayla; his 11 grandchildren and his mother Barbara Morin. He also leaves his siblings: Candy Fornaro, Scott Morin and Todd Morin and their spouses. He was predeceased by his father, Howard Morin and his sister, Gail Higgins.

Visiting hours will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9th at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

It’s 2 years since you left us. You haven’t any idea just how much you are loved and how much you’re missed. I’m trying really hard to keep the family together and thank you for having them all come back to me.

I want to say how sorry I am to you linda and the morin family. I have know mark a long time because I was married to his brother. I will never forget mark gave me my first job out of hairdressing school. He was willing to give me a chance. I am grateful for that. He was always telling jokes or funny stories. He will be missed by many but his memory and funny jokes will carry on.
rest in peace mark

Mark always had a smile on his face and would make everyone laugh with the sick jokes he told. He will be missed by all that knew him. Most of all he was Linda's ying to her yang and I know that she will miss him more than anyone.

I did not know Mark but I have known Linda since 1957. I only know that Mark was always smiling in the pics that I saw on Facebook. I do wish that I got a chance to meet him but all I know is that he is telling his jokes to a wider audience now.

I love you Dad. I'm devastated you left us so early and so suddenly. You loved us so powerfully in life that we still feel it now. I'm so grateful you were my Dad. You modeled being a husband and father. Your relationship with Linda was inspirational to Dani and I. I will do my best here on earth to complete whatever work you left unfinished. I hope you're at peace. I love you. till we meet again...
