Mary Harding Obituary

Mary T. Harding, 95

WORCESTER - Mary T. Harding, a true lady, passed away May 13 with family at her side at the Christopher House of Worcester after a brief period of declining health.

Mary was 95 and had lived independently for over 94 years.

Mary was born February 11, 1919 to the late William T. Regan and Mary V. (Ryan) Regan, graduating from the former Classical High School and the former New England School of Accounting.

Mary's husband of 36 years, Joseph T. Harding, died March, 1983. She is survived by her two daughters Kathleen A. (Harris) Monahan of Oxford and Maureen Harding of Arizona, her grandson CW03 Robert C. Harris, United States Navy of whom she so loved, his wife Annette, great-grandchildren Angelina, Timothy, Joseph, Aundria, Alliyanna and Robert Craig Jr. Mary is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews Pat, Marie, Bill, Bob and their families.

Mary was predeceased by her dear sister Eleanor who died in 1983, and her son-in-law Paul J. Monahan who died February, 2013.

One of her fondest memories was of her trip to New Brunswick, Canada in 2000 for Kathleen and Paul's wedding meeting her extended Canadian "relatives".

Mary spent many years in Women's retail working at the former Richard Healy Co. then Sylvia's Dress Shoppe where she fostered many repeat customers with her smile, always tailored and dignified.

Even at 95 years old, she was always wanting to be well dressed, including having her hair done weekly. She taught all of us the importance of family. We will all miss her phone calls to say Good night. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Christopher House of Worcester for their care and compassion.

Mary's funeral will be Saturday, May 16th from Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St. in Worcester with a funeral Mass at l0 a.m. at St. John's Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Athy Memorial Home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Please go to telegram.com to share online condolences.

So sorry for the loss of Aunt Mary, she was a true lady and friend. I always enjoyed our conservations. I know she is with the Lord now and seeing Nana and Grampie and her sister. And reunited with her sweetheart Uncle Joe. Rest in peace my sweet friend. You girls and Bobby have a very special Angel watching over you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
