Mary Rizzelli Obituary
Brookfield - Mary Frances "Fran" Rizzelli, 70, formerly of Marlborough, MA lost her valiant fight against leukemia on Tuesday, October 10th in her home in Brookfield, and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves her lifelong soul mate and best friend George Pacific Jr., a sister Doreen (Rizzelli) Cavanaugh and a brother James all of Marlborough, a brother William Rizzelli of Brookfield who resided with her and several nieces and nephews.
She graduated Marlborough High class of 1965, attended Fisher Junior College where she earned an Associates Degree in Business Management and made the Deans list, graduated Northeastern University; Cum Laude with an Associates in Business Management and BS in Database Design.
She worked at Data General for several years, 23 years at the former Shipley Company in Marlborough as a Document Control Specialist/Forecast Analyst and was currently employed by the HBM Company also in Marlborough as an Engineering Administrator, where she had been instrumental in adopting new computer systems and was grateful to them for the way they allowed her to deal with her illness.
She loved to play golf and was a former member of the Marlborough Country Club where she enjoyed a lot of good times, especially playing in the Scotchie league with many great friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 9 AM in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough.
Calling hours at the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main Street, Marlborough, MA are on Wednesday, October 18th from 4 to 7 PM.
She had a lifelong passion for dogs, especially West Highland White and Cairn Terriers, and asked that in lieu of flowers a donation in her name be made to the ASPCA at https://www.aspca.org/ways-to-give.

Infectious smile, energy, great attitude, upbeat. When we think of Fran, these are the first words that come to our mind. A great privilege to have known her, and worked with her. We will miss her. Our condolences to Fran's family and friends. A great inspiration you were indeed - Fran.

The Pacific family will always hold Fran close to their hearts. I will remember Fran as sweet, soft spoken, and kind. After her long courageous struggle with that dreaded illness, I hope she is now in a better place. RIP Fran

Fran was our dear friend and neighbor in Brookfield. We will always remember the good times we spent together dancing to the Oldies at Indian Ranch or just sitting around the kitchen table drinking coffee and chatting about the weeks events.
She will be truly missed but we are grateful for her friendship and the happy memories.
