Michael Gain Obituary
SPENCER - Michael C. Gain, 56, of Spencer, returned to his heavenly home on July 5, 2017. Michael was born to Alfred and Judith (Norberg) Gain in Worcester on September 23, 1960.
He attended Baptist Bible College and Hyles-Anderson College working many years with local ministries as well as at the Worcester Art Museum.
Michael was an avid reader & writer and would share his knowledge regarding all periods of history. Michael enjoyed the outdoors and a simpler way of life including camping, hiking and the calming effect of the ocean.
He will be missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.
Michael is survived by his mother, Judith Cobill and her husband Warren; his Godmother, Audrey Parsons; his great-aunt Helen Magee; his sister, Shelly Clark and her husband Kevin; his nieces, Stefanie Tretheway and her husband John, Carlene & Meagan Mandeville and Emma Clark; his great-nieces, Jordyn and Madilyn Tretheway. He is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Gain; his grandparents Carl & Loretta Norberg, his Godfather, Carl Norberg Jr and an uncle, James Parsons.
A celebration of life will take place on August 6 at 2pm at the Love & Faith Chapel 472 Main St. Spencer. There will be no calling hours.

No words can express the emotions on Michael's passing.
He was family, he was a brother, he was an incredible son.
Me was who he was..to know Micheal was to love Micheal! He never changed, never faltered, he stood quietly on the sidelines and watched and enjoyed life as it passed by.
While everyone else was out chasing the Dream, Mike did hid own thing.
Micheal...you will be missed, but brother, maybe you had it figured out all of this time!!
Lynyrd Skynyrd sang it best....be a Simple Kind of Man. I thought of you the other day when I heard this on the radio.

With deep sadness,I offer my condolences. I met Michael at Audrey's shortly after my cousin Jimmy passed. We spent the entire afternoon remembering Jimmy. I learned how much Michael cared ffor Jim and Audrey. We reminicsed about life in general. Michael was a very kind, deep thinker. I am so sorry to all of you upon hearing of your loss.
