Michael McEwen Obituary

Michael D. McEwen, 55, of Enfield, CT died peacefully on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 surrounded by his family.

Born in Shirley, Massachusetts on April 9, 1952, Michael was the son of the late Charles T. and Sally S. (Spaulding) McEwen. Michael has resided in Enfield since 1980. Michael was a hard working individual and a devoted family man. He enjoyed sports and playing horseshoes and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

A strong and loving father, brother and grandfather, Michael is survived by his children, Michael Anthony McEwen and Renee Crystal McEwen both of Leominster, MA; his brothers, Christopher McEwen and his wife Lori of Hubbardston, MA, Stephen McEwen and his wife Linda of Somers and Jonathan McEwen and his wife Joanne of Somersville; and his grandson, Xavier Toledo of Leominster, MA. Michael is also survived by his former wife Faith Minnicucci of Leominster, MA and his nephews.

Family and friends may attend a graveside service to be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Somers Center Cemetery. At the request of the family, there are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Home and Community Health Services, P.O. Box 1199, Enfield, CT 06083. Somers Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements.
