Michael Partlow Obituary
Sturbridge - Michael L. Partlow I, 75, of Cedar Lake Dr., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Monday, Jan. 29th, in his home after a battle with cancer.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Carolyn M. (Jaskoviak) Partlow; his son, Michael L. Partlow II and his wife Danielle of Holland; his three daughters, Liz A. Wassmer and her husband Ronald, Jr. of Brookfield, Paula M. Partlow-Tromblay and her husband Brad of Azle, TX and Michelle C. Partlow-Nichols and her husband Joseph G. of Brookfield; his two brothers, Frank Partlow of Southbridge and Edward Partlow of Dunnellen, FL; his seven grandchildren, Jay Wassmer, Kara Wassmer, Tiffany Wassmer, Mikey Wassmer, Ashley Bastien, Savannah Nichols and Michael L. "Lucci" Partlow III; six great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Lee Partlow. Mike was born in Bellows Falls, VT the son of the late Clayton A. and Elizabeth A. (Ruane) Partlow.
Michael co-owned and operated with his son Michael M.L. Partlow and Son paving for the past 20 years. He previously worked for Anchor Motor Freight for 17 years. He also previously worked for Shield Construction and in his younger years co-own and operated Green Thumb Landscaping. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 170 in Worcester. He was a member of the Hamilton Rod & Gun Club in Sturbridge and was the bar manager at the club. Mike was an avid golfer and was a member of the Cohasse Country Club in Southbridge. He enjoyed traveling and enjoyed life in general. Most of all he loved his family.
A funeral Mass for Mike will be held on Friday, Feb. 2nd, at 10:00am in Notre Dame Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 446 Main St., Southbridge. Burial will follow in St. Anne's Cemetery, Sturbridge. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Center of Hope, P.O. Box 66, Southbridge, MA 01550.
