Mildred Cascio Obituary

Mildred (Sacco) Cascio, 83, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in Quaboag on the Common. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Vincent "Jimmy" & Rose A. (Ferry) Sacco and lived most of her life in Somerville before moving to Brookfield with her daughter. Her husband of 52 years Antonio Cascio died in 1998. Mildred leaves a daughter, Christine Richard of Brookfield; four sons, Robert of Tewksbury, Antonio Jr. of Palm City, FL, Richard of Nashua, NH & Michael of Palmetto, FL; 10 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews. Mildred was a loving mother & homemaker. She loved the beach and dogs. The family is most grateful for the many kindnesses given by the staff of the Quaboag on the Common Nursing Home where she resided for the final years of her life.

The funeral for Mrs. Cascio will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2008 from Pillsbury Funeral Home, Rte 9/Old West Brookfield Rd., Brookfield with a 10:00 AM Mass in St. Mary's Church, Lincoln St., Brookfield. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 PM in the funeral home. Donations may be made in her name to Quaboag on the Common Activities Fund, 47 East Main St., W. Brookfield, MA 01585.

Family gatherings will not be the same without Millie. She always made us laugh, especially when she was yelling at Joshua. We are so sorry to hear of her passing, but we know that she will forever be remembered in our hearts.
