Mildred Clark Obituary

Mildred Louise (Dodge) Clark, 84 of Allen Lane, Melvin Village died August 4, 2008 at her home.

She was born July 25, 1924 in Haverhill, MA daughter of the late Warren and Agnes (Moppet) Dodge. She moved to Melvin Village in 1985 from Westborough, MA after summering there most of her life. She also wintered in Clearwater, FL for many years.

Mrs. Clark graduated from Haverhill High School class of 1942 and from Lynn Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Nurse for the Grafton State Hospital and Westborough State Hospital retiring in 1985.

In Westborough she was the Past President of the Westborough Women's Club, a member of the Mayflower Chapter of the Eastern Star of Weymouth, MA and the Congregational Church in Westborough. In Clearwater, FL she was a member of the Clearwater Women's Club and the Friendship United Methodist Church. In Melvin Village she was a member of the Melvin Village Hikers Club and the Melvin Village Community Church.

Pre-deceased by her husband of 60 years in October of 2007, Keith F. Clark and a sister, Althea Hazeltine, she leaves a son, Scott Clark of Melvin Village; 3 daughters, Heather and her husband Mark Smith of Westborough, Meredith Stanley of Melvin Village, Laurel Clark of Melvin Village; a granddaughter, Tiffany LaPreste and two great grandchildren, Andrew and Alysha.

A Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday Aug. 9, 2008 at the Melvin Village Community Church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Melvin Village Community Church, 476 Gov. Wentworth Highway, Melvin Village, NH 03850. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service 85 Mill St., Wolfeboro, NH is in charge of the arrangements. For more information go to:
