Norman Boulais Obituary

Norman W. Boulais, 83
NORTHBRIDGE - Norman W. Boulais, 83, died on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, in St. Camillus Health Center, Whitinsville, after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 63 years, Dora A. (Sansoucie) Boulais; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert P. Boulais of Northbridge and two sisters: Bernice B. Laferriere of South Grafton and Beatrice S. Brousseau of North Grafton.
He was born in the Farnumsville village of South Grafton on August 5, 1929, attended Grafton High School, and moved to Northbridge in 1949. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving in Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1954.
Mr. Boulais was a groundskeeper at the Bancroft School, Worcester, for 14 years, retiring in 1993. Previously, he was a truck driver for 34 years for Hopedale Coal and Ice Co., Hopedale.
He was a member of the Northbridge Volunteer Fire Dept. from 1963 to 1977. He was also a member of St. Peter's Catholic Parish and Oliver Ashton Post 343, the American Legion, both in Northbridge.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 27, in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 39 Church Avenue. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Whitinsville, will be private. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Northbridge Fire Dept. Ambulance Fund, 193 Main St., P.O. Box 13, Whitinsville, MA 01588.
