Paul Vangel Obituary
HARWICH PORT - Paul D. Vangel, 79 of Harwich Port passed away peacefully on April 6, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Carroll A. (Hughes) Vangel.
Paul was raised in Southbridge and lived most of his life in Dudley before retiring to Harwich Port. He enlisted in the US Army in 1957 and served in Germany. Paul treasured cars and was most proud of his 1965 Ford Galaxy convertible of which he was the original owner. He enjoyed his time as a member of the Cape Cod Classics Car Club. He was also a member of the Webster Lions Club.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son Paul and his wife Tracie Vangel and their 3 children Keara, Drew & Chase. He also leaves two sisters Elaine Black and Peggy Bouthillier, a brother Thomas Vangel and several nieces, nephews and grand nieces & nephews.
A service will be held on Friday April 11 at 11 am at Morris, O'Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 678 Main St. Harwich Center. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to VNA Hospice of Cape Cod 434 Rte. 134, South Dennis, MA 02660 or to St. Nicholas Albanian Orthodox Church 126 Morris St. Southbridge, MA 01550.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Paul and I quickly became good friends years ago when we were both Webster Lions because his kindness, friendliness and sense of humor were so appealing. Though I hadn't seen him in a numbed of years my mind sees his smiling face clearly and my heart feels how easy and fun it was to be with him. That's the man we will always remember!
