Pauline Pokornicki Obituary

Pauline Y. Pokornicki

Uxbridge - Pauline Y. Pokornicki, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, May 25th 2021 in her home, surrounded by her family after an illness. She was the wife of Edward W. Pokornicki, UPD Sergeant Ret.

Pauline was born in Worcester the daughter of the late Zephirin and Annette (Tessier) Gazaille and graduated from the former St. Mary's High School in Milford class of 1966.

She worked as a molder for General Electric before her retirement.

Pauline enjoyed cooking and sewing and used her skills to make her own wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses. Most of all she adored her grandchildren.

Along with her husband Edward, she is survived by 2 daughters Linda L. Barrows and her husband Peter of Northbridge, Paula A. Phipps of Douglas, a son Edward W. Pokornicki, Jr. and his wife Lauren of Uxbridge; a brother Paul Gazaille and his wife Patricia of Cape Cod; and 7 grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 27th from 4-7 PM at the Buma Funeral Home, 101 N. Main St., Uxbridge.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 28th at 9 AM from the Buma Funeral Home, 101 N. Main Street, Uxbridge followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary Parish, 77 Mendon Street, Uxbridge.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Uxbridge.

Facial coverings and physical distancing required.

Donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, 10 Chandler St, Boston, MA 02116.

Our deepest sympathy to Edward, Linda, Paula,& Edward Jr. Pauline was such a wonderful person, we had wonderful visits & laughter for years. I will miss her friendship and kindness. I know she has seen the face of God. Rest in peace!

Ed and family I offer my heartfelt condolences. I remember Pauline when we attended Catechism on Saturdays at the Good Shepherd Church in Linwood. She was always a great human being and a special person. May she rest in peace and have a special place in Heaven where I'm sure she is..
