SHREWSBURY - Pauline J. (Leroux) St. Amand, 86, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Worcester died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an illness.
Her husband, George St. Amand died in 2003. She leaves her children, Joanne P. Provencal of Grafton, Diane Keeney and her husband, Kenneth of Shrewsbury, Nancy Morley and her husband, John of Shrewsbury and Patricia Pijus of Millbury, a daughter-in-law, Joyce Pijus of Worcester, a sister, Georgette Ledoux of Shrewsbury; also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, James Pijus; two great grandsons, Richard and Christopher and twelve of her siblings.
Pauline was born in Barton, Vermont, the youngest of fourteen children to the late Emile and Aldea (Menard) Leroux. She was educated in Vermont, before moving to Massachusetts.
She worked as a secretary for many local businesses later in her life. Pauline previously worked as a waitress for several restaurants when her children were young.
She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, doing crafts, traveling with her husband and family, and gardening.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Pauline's family on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. Her funeral will be from the funeral home on Friday, January 25, 2013 with a funeral Mass celebrating her life at 10 AM in Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main St. Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
