Philip Kowalski Obituary
WORCESTER - Philip Kowalski, 80 a former longtime resident of Auburn, passed away, Monday, August 31, 2015 in St. Vincent Hospital. He is survived by his sister, Gloria Hermanson; nieces Selina Paine and her children Dakota and Savanah Desantis, all of Maine, Patricia Tirone of New York and Joan Papale of Connecticut; Wazie Hermanson and Tabitha Hermanson and a nephew Homer Hermanson, USMC of Massachusetts. He was predeceased by brothers Walter and John Kowalski. He was born in Worcester a son of John and Marion (Mozevech) Kowalski.
Mr. Kowalski graduated from Commerce High School. He was a veteran of the US Army serving as a military police.
The funeral will be held on Thursday September 3, 2015 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St, Worcester with a Mass at 11:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St., Worcester, MA. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday September 3, 2015 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NAMI, 3803 North Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA, 22203.
