Philip Moro Obituary

Philip E. Moro, 59, died Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Worcester after an illness. He was the husband of Lumina (Simoneau) Moro.

Born in Marlborough, he was the son of Sylvia (Bertonassi) Moro of Westborough and the late Ernest Moro and was educated in Westborough schools.

Mr. Moro was employed as a press operator for Bay State Abrasives for many years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, antique cars, golfing at Stonybrook Golf Course and Berlin Country Club. Phil also enjoyed all sports and raised tropical fish.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Keith M. Moro and his wife Amy of Worcester; two brothers, James T. Moro and his wife Ellen of N. Grafton and Stephen P. Moro and his wife Beth of Sterling; one sister, Barbara A. Perry and her husband Joseph of Northborough and three grandchildren, Brian, Jack and Travis.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 30, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough.

Calling hours at the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., Westborough, are Sunday, March 29, from 2 to 5 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
