Philip D. Simmons, 78

Northbridge - Longtime Northbridge resident Philip D. Simmons passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the age of 78 following an illness.

Born April 7, 1942 in Newport, RI to Morton E. Simmons of Douglas, MA and Helvie M. Simmons (Strom) of Linwood, MA, he was a graduate of Uxbridge High School and a member of the Marine Corps. He worked at the Draper Corporation of Hopedale, MA where he met his wife of 41 years, Mary E. Simmons (Lussier) who predeceased him in May 2009.

He leaves his older brother Morton Simmons, Jr. of Shrewsbury, MA and younger sister Janice Anderson (Simmons) of Waukesha, WI; his eldest son, Philip M. Simmons of Sterling, MA and grandchildren, Jackson, Jennie and Aiden; and his youngest son, David S. Simmons of Douglas, MA and grandson, Brady.
