Richard Duquette Obituary

Richard G. Duquette Sr., 73, of 11B Sayles St. N. Uxbridge died Wed., Aug. 13 after an illness. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Frances "Pat" (Jacques) Duquette; 3 sons: Richard G. Jr. and his wife Laureen Duquette of Oxford, Jeffrey Duquette of Gilmanton NH, and Gary and his wife Linda Duquette of Norfolk; 2 daughters: Crystal Consolo of Uxbridge and Stacy and her husband Roger Boulanger of Mendon; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-granddaughters; a sister, Gladys and her husband Raymond Courtemache of Uxbridge; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by son-in-law, Joseph Consolo II. Born in Uxbridge on April 11, 1935, he was the son of Louis and Yvonne (Belanger) Irving and was raised in Douglas and lived in Uxbridge since 1954.

Mr. Duquette was an assembly worker at General Motors in Framingham for many years, retiring in 1989. He then worked as a maintenance man for Crossroads at the Larches in Hopedale. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. He enjoyed country music, attended many jamborees and was member and 6 year past president of the NE Country Music Club. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene where he often helped out where he was needed.

His funeral will be held Sat., Aug. 16 from Tancrell Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. with a Service at 11 a.m. in the Nazarene Church, 130 Douglas St. at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Fri., Aug. 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Sat., Aug. 16 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701.
