Robert J. Joseph, 75

WORCESTER - Robert J. Joseph died on Friday, April 11, 2014 with the loving support of his family and staff at the Jewish Healthcare Center. He was born in Worcester, a son of the late Nash and Adele (Maykel) Joseph, and lived in Worcester for most of his life. Bob graduated from Sacred Heart High School and Worcester Junior College.

Bob was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a broker and appraiser for 35 years, and the former owner of the Fashion Flair Hair Salon for more than 40 years. Known to all as a mild mannered and gentle man, Bob adored his wife, children, and grandchildren and loved spending as much time as possible with them.

He leaves his wife of 48 years, Carol A. (Samia) Joseph; a son, Dr. Robert J. Joseph II of Los Angeles, CA; a daughter, Michele A. (Joseph) Kephart and her husband, Kevin of Rutland; a brother, Richard N. Joseph, Sr. and his wife, Elaine of Shrewsbury, and a sister, Jacqueline M. (Joseph) Barrett and her husband, Thomas; and 5 grandchildren, Victoria, Olivia, Amira, Logan, and Caleb.

Bob was a member of St. George Orthodox Cathedral and the Worcester County Board of Realtors.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 9:00 to 10:45 AM on Tuesday, April 15, at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street, Worcester followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the Cathedral, officiated by The Rev. Father Milad Selim and The Rev. Father Ephraim Peters, nephew of Bob. Entombment will be in the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.

The family requests that flowers be omitted and contributions be made to St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street, Worcester 01604 or to the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester 01605.
