Bob was truly one of the good guys. After my dad, Bill Herrmann was stricken with polio in 1955, he was one of the guys who enabled him to return and keep working at Reed Rolled Thread and Die Co. My mom, Doris was saddened to hear of his loss last April; she passed in October. The Herrmann family has warm memories of Bobby. Sending our sincere condolences.

I remember when I worked at Duffy's discount in Cherry valley, he would come in with his wife, and joke around with the cashiers. We always enjoyed it when they came together. I am George MacLeod's son. I remember Bob and Sybil from when I was a little boy. They always seemed like the nicest and happiest people we new. My Dad always told me how much he thought of Bob and that he was proud to call him friend. The last time I talked to Bob, I was in my 20's and he told me how proud my Dad was of me because he knew my Dad could never tell me himself. I will never forget your kindness and humanity both Bob and Sybil. Thank You and God Bless

April 18, 2020

Dear Sybil & Family,
We want to express our sincere sympathy in your loss. Bob was a great guy and so helpful in very many ways. He was a loving husband and father who was devoted to his family. He was a good friend to have. Some of our fondest memories are when we first moved to Shrewsbury and you and Bob were so friendly and welcoming to us. Over the years we formed a very close friendship and enjoyed many happy hours together. Bob was always helpful when Al needed help with anything. He would even drop Al off at work when the snow was too deep to get up our little hill! Bob was a man of faith, and we are sure that his place in heaven is secure.
Rest in peace good friend.
Mary & Al Williams.
