Ed & I are so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. He was a warm, caring, funny man and I treasure the poem he wrote for us when we moved to Arizona. He leaves a hole that no other will fill. Our thoughts & prayers are with all of his family and friends, especially our dear friend Judy and Pastor Jack.

Bob was an amazing patriarch in the Clinton Presbyterian Church. He got in trouble once for playing the drums in the sanctuary while a class was going on downstairs, and he picked up rhythm instruments more than once to join in with African choruses. It was a joy and honor to know him.

Bob was a wonderful warm and welcoming person. His sense of humor and smile will be missed greatly. May God's presence be felt by your family. You are in my prayers.

So sorry to hear about Bob's passing. We worked together at State Mutual for a number of years and often ate lunch together. We shared a similar love of words and humor. After we both left State Mutual, we began meeting each year with Don Cookson, another friend and SMA alumnus to stay in touch and keep up with each other's lives. Over the past few years, Bob and I would meet for lunch several times during the year to swap poems, hymns, and limericks and to talk politics and life in general. I will miss those good times. Rest in peace, Bob. I'll see you again in the hereafter.

Bob was one of a kind. Dedicated and invested in every in all of his many personal, business, community, and religious involvements. His limerick book is full of good spirit and many chuckles. I had the pleasure of working aside him providing advertising services during his years at State Mutual/The America Group. Those years and the years after his retirement when we broke bread every January at O'Connor's in West Boylston with our mutual good friend Joe Scarpato were most memorable and enjoyable - even the spirited discussions about the current political scene. Wife Susan and I want to pass our condolences and best wished to every member of his family.
