Robert H. Pervier

Robert H. Pervier, 90, of Pawcatuck, CT passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at home.

Robert was born February 2, 1917 in Hartford, CT, the son of Robert Franklin and R. Blanche Blais Pervier. He grew up in North Brookfield, MA and lived in West Brookfield, Northborough and Falmouth, MA before coming to live at his daughter and son-in-law's home in CT in 2003.

Robert was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and married Rita E. Duffy on October 4, 1947 at Saint Mary Church in Wrentham, MA. They would have been married for 60 years this October. For most of his life, Robert worked for the Leland Gifford/White Consolidated Company in Worcester, MA as a machinist and toolmaker.

Being an outdoorsman, Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing and camping and became an avid golfer in his retirement years. He was a communicant of Saint Michael the Archangel Church in Pawcatuck, CT. Most recently Robert was involved in the Alzheimer's Association, especially enjoying the Focus Club with his wife Rita.

In addition to his wife Rita, Robert is survived by his two children and their spouses, Martha and Thad Wicks of Pawcatuck, CT and Stephen and Karen Pervier of Boxboro, MA; his grandchildren, Kelli Wicks Gerard and her husband Mark of Dallas, TX, Meg Wicks of NYC, Benjamin Pervier of Boxboro, MA; his close cousins Marion Moriarty and Gilbert Pervier both of Worcester and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur and Raymond Pervier and his sisters, Esther Beall, Pearl Mercure and May Fairfield.

A funeral Mass for Robert will be held Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Noon at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 60 Liberty Street, Pawcatuck, CT. There are no calling hours and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Wrentham, MA.
